Run simulation

The run button will tell IoTSim to begin running the simulation. This will take all the devices in the layout as well as any rules created into consideration when running.

When a simulation is running, the background will change to a light grey colour, environment meters will be shown in the bottom left and devices will be unable to be moved.

When a simulation is running, you can manually change the on/off state of a device by right-clicking on it.

Stop simulation

The stop button will stop the simulation from running. Upon doing this, the background will change back to white to show that the design view is back. All device states will be reset to off and the environment meters will be hidden. Devices can now be moved again but their on/off state cannot be changed while in design view.

Pause simulation

The pause button will pause the simulation at the current point and will stop it continuing further. This does not stop the simulation permanently and the design view is still inaccessible while the simulation is paused.

Resume simulation

The resume button will resume a paused simulation and continue running any rules.
