Device Management

This page shows the process of adding, deleting and moving devices.

Adding a device

To add a device to your layout, either click on the 'Add' button on the home tab or click the 'Devices' tab. Either of these options will bring you to the 'Devices' tab on the ribbon.

The devices tab on the ribbon gives a list of devices you can add. Simply click on the device you wish to add.

Following this, a window will pop up prompting you to name the device. Simply type a name and either hit the enter key or click okay.

The device has now been added to your layout.

Moving a device

To move a device within your layout: simply hover over the device you wish to move then left click and drag the mouse to the desired location. The device has now been moved.

Deleting a device

To delete a device from the layout, navigate to the home tab and click the 'Delete' button.

Following this, a window will pop up with a list of devices in the layout. Select the device you wish to delete and click the delete button.

Please note that controller rules are not changed or updated when a device is deleted. This means that any reference to a device in a rule will still exist and simply will not work in the simulation.

The device has now been deleted.
